Jewish Family Service strives to enhance the quality of life of individuals and families of all ages, faiths, and backgrounds in San Antonio and the surrounding area, through social, psychological, health and educational programs guided by the Jewish values of “repairing the world” and “taking responsibility for each other.”
Welcome to Jewish Family Service of San Antonio, Texas. Founded thirty-nine years ago, JFS provides affordable mental health counseling, case management, senior services, and emergency financial assistance to the Jewish and greater communities. The agency, always a strong and respected counseling service , has rapidly expanded its senior and case management services.
Neighborhoods all over San Antonio took part in the annual National Night Out (NNO) on October 2. This year, the Mission Road Collaborative, organized the very first of its kind on the grounds of Blessed Sacrament Academy with great success.
About 450 people attended the event and enjoyed food, refreshments, music and much more. This NNO event was one of the few which Mayor Julian Castro attended along with his wife and daughter.
Mark your calendars for May 1, 2013 for the annual JFS Mother’s Day Luncheon. This year JFS will honor Betty Indyk, Rhonda Gurinsky and Rivka Schechter during a spectacular event that will look back at the last 40 years of service our organization has provided to the San Antonio community.
Guests will enjoy delicious food, meet some of JFS’ best supporters, have a chance to take home a variety of valuable items from the silent auction and be part of a musical event that will have people talking for months.
The Jewish Family Service Annual Campaign is in full swing!
