Social Services Director
Executive DirectorMorris Henry Levine (M. H.) became the Executive Director of Jewish Family Service in October of 2004. His career includes service as an Air Force Officer, forty years in the food industry in sales and operations management, trade association management, and fourteen years in non-profit management. He was president of JFS in Jacksonville, FL and executive director of a United Way agency in Pine Bluff, AR. He has also served on boards of Jewish Federations, homes for the aged and on the Arkansas State Board for Professional Excellence in Non Profit Management.
His passion for social justice, service to children, and the care of seniors motivates him to ensure that JFS provides high quality and accessible services to all who ask for them.
Michael Malinas, LCSW, became the Clinical Director in early January, 2005 after 20 years as a psychotherapist in private practice. He has a B.A. from Ohio State University and a M.S.S.W. from the University of Texas at Austin. He's responsible for overseeing all mental health counseling and assuring high quality and ethical service. He is especially proud that JFS provides the opportunity for graduate students and professional interns to learn their craft under the guidance and supervision of senior clinicians.
Finance DirectorRay has a BBA with a major in accounting from St. Mary's University and was employed in May of 2003. He has thirty plus years of non-profit accounting experience with twenty years as chief financial officer. He is adept at budget management and grant applications. When he's not buried in spread sheets, he plays golf or runs along the banks of the San Antonio river.
Administrative Services Director
Cheryl joined the staff at Jewish Family Service in May 2004 but has supported out patient mental health services for more than 16 years in an administrative capacity. Cheryl works closely with the management team as well as with the Board of Directors. She oversees the volunteer program of the agency, works on all fundraising activities, manages the client data base and provides administrative support wherever it is needed.
